ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 12
Next week we will be launching into the basic organizational plan of our body or a grand overview of how our body is put together. We will look at how the basic "tube within a tube" organization develops during embryo formation, and also how it is reflected in the overall adult body structure.
We will also look at where the study of anatomy and physiology fits into the overall hierarchy of life.
Also, we will look at the fundamental molecular building blocks and how important diffusion is to understanding physiological processes from the cellular level all the way to the whole organism.
Please be sure to be familiar with Chapters 1-5 in your text. You may need to go back to your Introductory Biology text if some of the concepts are not easily understandable.
On the course website, we will be looking at the powerpoint presentations on Diffusion and Embryos.
Next Friday we will meet online in the WebCT Chat space. The goal is to get organized into groups of three or four students and select a topic for your Health and Well-Being Blog. [link:

I would like to restrict you to topics related to the third part of the semester, on the head and neck. I will post some topic ideas here and talk more about this in class. So next Friday, September 16--see you on line!
Have a great weekend and see you next week.
