- Friday will be mostly review to answer any questions you might have about the upcoming exam as you assemble your review notes and compendium notebook.
- Next week we have no class on Friday. Compendium notebooks, for those who wish, will be presented in class on Monday November 7. The exam will be on Wednesday November 9.
- Don't forget to also review the chapters from your text: 7-10, 12-14

FOR WEEK OF OCTOBER 24
- This week in class we will begin reviewing the tissues of the skeleton--bone and cartilage--and the tissue that makes movement happen--muscle. We will also start looking at the mechanics of movement and how joints work. You can look ahead at those presentations [link] and also review Chapters 7-10 in your text.
- For Friday, some groups will have their second chat to go over rough drafts of your website reviews. Please be sure you read the instructions for the website reviews and have a fairly complete draft of your review posted on your blog [link for review instructions]. Be sure you save copies of your reviews on disk or on your computer in case something happens to your blog entries.
- Also, don't forget we have only two more weeks of class and then our next exam. It's not too soon to be working on reviewing for the exam and putting together your compendium notebook if you haven't begun already.

- Please be sure that you have posted "live" links to two websites related to your topic to the group blog before the first (for some groups, that will be this Friday, Sept. 28!!)
- See schedule of chats for each group on Health and Well Being Home Pages

- In the first chat, we will be analyzing what makes for a good website or a not-so-good one.

ANNONCEMENTS FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 26
- Quiz 2 will be available until Midnight on Sunday October 2nd. This quiz covers tissue types and skin, so you might want to wait until we have our last presentation on skin on Wednesday of this week before you do the quiz.
- Don't forget that the following week, of October 3, will be our first exam week. If you haven't already done so, I suggest starting on your compendium notebooks (if you intend to do one) and studying for the exam.
- This week we will finish up looking at tissue types and the return to a look at the skin in a more complete way. See those two presentations on the course home page.

-Embryonic origin of the basic body plan
-How anatomy and physiology fit into the hierarchy of life
-The important role of diffusion
- You just have one chance to do the quiz so please study before you open it up in WebCT.
- You have fifteen minutes to answer the ten multiple choice and matching questions which should be plenty of time if you have studied for the quiz.
- You will see the quiz is available because it has a little pencil symbol beside it. It is down towards the bottom of the quiz list--that is, it is not the first quiz in the list, which is not yet available.
Good luck--DO WELL!!
